Kinstretch Frequently Asked Questions
-
“You can’t move where you can’t move”.
While the goal of exercise is to get strong, you can’t productively perform an exercise if you have poor movement quality, specifically deriving from the joints. In modern sports science, it is considered the missing element from strength and conditioning.
Mobility training shouldn’t be done for mobility sake, but instead to enable you to perform activities better with less restrictions and more enjoyment. -
While both are categorized under “mobility”, their methodologies and intentions greatly differ. Yoga and traditional stretching often focus on passive flexibility—holding a position using gravity or an external force.
Kinstretch focuses on active mobility and body control, training your nervous system to deliver strength at your end ranges of motion.
-
What makes Kinstretch unique is that it addresses both mobility AND strength. (We actually consider mobility as part of the strength development spectrum rather than a separate, disconnected pursuit.)
Kinstretch specifically addresses improving qualities such joint capsular space, connective tissue quality, and the connective tissue load bearing capacity that support active lifestyles and overall athletic durability— that’s actually strength in disguise!
You can expect much more than just having ability to sink deeper into a stretch.
