Stop Guessing.
Start with an Assessment.
Your path to athletic longevity begins with data, not a workout.
San Francisco Peninsula’s Joint Mobility Diagnostic for Active Adults, Athletes, and Movers
When you realized that more stretching and more reps doesn’t make the problem go away.
And ready to get to the root of how your body moves.
Why Start with an Assessment?
Pinching shoulders, tight hips, and stiff back— Pushing through without understanding what lies beneath is a guaranteed path to injury and setbacks.
Training without a baseline physical audit means relying on guesswork. When you’re serious about to staying competitive on the golf course, running pain-free, lifting heavy, or simply protecting your body for decades to come you need to identify your starting point.
Smart training isn’t just about being careful. It’s making informed decisions using real data from your body. Our assessment-first process pinpoints the physical bottlenecks before they become hard limitations or problems down the road.
Signs Your Body Needs a Mobility Assessment
✅ You Want To Be More Active: Strength, fitness, and longevity are important to you, but you’re anxious that improper form, instability, or being uncoordinated will get you hurt.
✅ Chronic Tightness That Doesn’t Go Away: Stretching and foam rolling helps in the moment but guaranteed to return the next morning.
✅ Persistent Joint Aches/Pains: Feeling a pinch at the front of the hip in your squat or shoulder in overhead press.
✅ Discomfort with Exercise Positions: You have the power to drive, but your wrists and elbows pay the price.
✅ You’re Serious About Longevity: You don’t want to just express strength in a few exercises and want to know how your joints will keep up.
✅ Plateued Athletic Output: You’ve hit your personal bests but gains have started to slow down.
Key Benefits of the Assessment
You’ve decided to improve your strength, mobility, and performance. The assessment gives you the precision to get there faster.
Identify your body’s starting point. Know how your internal strength capacity progresses over training and time.
Establish Your Baseline
Discover your blindspots. Reveal deficits in flexibility, mobility, and strength that create inefficiencies, future liabilities and setbacks, and be positioned to address them.
Mitigate Injury
Efficient with your time. Less wasted effort. Stop piecing together random exercises and see what sticks. Know exactly what moves the needle for your body, not others.

“Really astonishing to see the amount of coupling in my movement patterns. Seeing the amount of compensation of movements when I thought I was moving individual body parts. I’m looking forward to the 1:1.”
-- Dan M., San Mateo

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Physical therapy is traditionally clinical—designed to return you to basic daily functioning following an acute injury or surgery.
Traditional fitness screens evaluate compound exercises (like squats or lunges) viewing movement from an external perspective (how it looks).
Our diagnostic assessment is a non-clinical physical audit that measures each joint’s workspace, flexibility, and active range control. This gives us much deeper information on how to structure your training plan compared to judging exercise performance. -
Wear comfortable, well-fitting clothes that allows full, unobstructed joint movement. Bring a water bottle, and be prepared to be barefoot or in socks.
-
The in-person assessment session lasts between 1.5-2hours and takes place at our Mid-Peninsula studio location. Your initial 15-minute discovery consultation is conducted via phone or video call prior to scheduling your in-person session. If you’re ready for the assessment, you can book it directly.
-
Following your in-person session, you receive your personalized report and movement analysis videos within 1-week. From there, we will schedule a follow-up 1:1 training session reviewing your findings and apply them to training. You’ll also have 1-week trial of small-group training available.

No. Because this is a performance-focused physical audit and joint capacity service rather than clinical post-injury rehabilitation, we operate entirely out-of-network on a direct fee-for-service model.
